Equal education among public schools?

Recently I moved from one school district to another.Less than 20 miles away.My daughters were on the A B honor roll and when we moved their grades dropped dramatically.I thought it was the move but when I went to parent teacher meetings I found my girls were horribly behind!!! It's been hard to get them where they need to be again and it angers me that the previous schools didn't educate my children the way they needed! They should be liable for not teaching the children by the state criteria! What about the children that are still there?

That's not good to hear. I mean, schools should follow certain standards. And they should all uphold to those standards so there would be synchronization when it comes to the students' learnings. That would be a bit unfair in some ways that students from other schools are advanced.

I agree completly! What happens if their on the A B honor roll all through school without the education they need then get accepted to a good college? Could be future ending. Makes you wonder how many times it's happened and written off to the student just not trying.

Oh my gosh! That's such a horrible thing that they do that to kids. Isn't there accreditations or national check-ups on the educational system of the public schools in your area?
Here in my country, we have that, they check on the performance of students and check on the schools. It may not be very systematic, but I know that they're doing that. Unless I guess you're referring to a super remote area where even the parents are not yet educated. But somehow, education is primary priority here in this country.
It must be shocking and traumatic for your kids to have to go through that, they've been used to having honors and now they've become behind the other students. I do hope they could adjust well and wouldn't be insecure about such things happening.
Good luck!

It has been terrible for the girls and we have national standards on education in our country too. That's what makes me so angry about it! What makes that certain district immune to national standards and why should the children suffer. I don't really know what to do at this point but get my girls on track. They are doing awesome under the circumstances but they shouldn't have to be so pressured.Thank you.
