Children can only learn what they are taught. Period. You teach them right, they will grow up right until they learn to make their own decisions. If they grow up in a home with parents yelling at them all the time, they will think that is fine and accept the act and then act in the same manner. If they are raised in a sloppy home, that is what they will learn and be that way later until someone else teaches them ther eis another way. children learn what they are taught.
