Which sporting event would you prefer to attend. Golf Tournment, Base Ball, Foot Ball, Basket Ball, Hockey, or a NASCAR RACE. and Reason why please Well for me it would be a NASCAR Race. to me all other sports are boring on TV, so they have to be boring in person also, I could personally sit and watch the Race and not even touch the PC the whole time. I know I havent mentioned all the possible sporting events around the world, so please put in your favorite your not limited to the ones showing here

car crash - car crash
How do you consider every other sport boring, but would like to watch a NASCAR race. I would pick any sport other than racing. What could be more boring than watching a "sport" where cars drive in an oval shape race track 500 times. No offense to race fans, but I would never!

It's not the fact that they are driving in circles 500 times, it's what they do while driving in circles 500 times. Not to mention besides football and rugby, how many sports are there where the athletes lives are on the line every second of every event? It's that suspense that each and every lap something could happen, and when it happens to the drivers you dislike you cheer and when it happens to the driver you like, you get to cuss the ones you don't (well cuss at their pictures on the TV anyways). NASCAR is actually more about the people, and the personalities as well. If there is a NASCAR track near you, I strongly urge you to head over to that town on race weekend and find out where a driver is doing an autograph session (any driver will do) and wait in line...you will find that those guys, each and every one of them are in most cases more down to earth than us. Mark Martin for instance held my 1 yr old son on his knee for 2 hrs during one of his sesions in dover and had seats brought out for us to sit with him till he finished signing, and all because I wished him luck for the next day. Most of them are the same as him. I have so many memories of things drivers have said and done when I've met them, and they are all so accessible, even on raceday they will take the time to stop and sign things right up until they strap in. What other sport allows that type of access and one-on-one interaction with it's fans?

That is fine, but Jr is not my favorite. I had 2 favorites and 1 was killed in a last lap wreck at the Datona 500. The other raced the #43 STP car

I would Love to go to a Nascar race. I Love watching Nascar, and have been a Big fan since back when Richard Petty was racing. It would be a pleasure to be out there in the stands and Cheer them on. I would love to be in the stands when Tony Stewart wins and would Love to sit in the area where he climbs the fence. I also love going to Baseball games, and have been to quite a few professional games in my time.

A NASCAR race live is quite the experience....the only place where 150,00 people can be completely drunk before noon and they all like different drivers, yet there isn't a single fight all day!!! lol But really, there is nothing like it. The crowd, the noise, the excitement when Jr. takes the lead...even more excitement when Tony hits the wall...lol (sorry not the greatest Stewart fan)and the comraderie...I've discovered that NASCAR fans regardless of who's hat, shirt, etc. that each is wearing, can easily talk, and converse upon first meeting. BTW, check out my discssion about Tony, you might find it mildly amusing...

nascar - nascar
I would love to attend a live nascar race. I will usually sit and watch the race on Sundays. i'm sure it would be a lot more exciting to be there in person.

April if your close to one of the Track's then see about a ticket, and go. I currenly live near richmond and that Track is sold out every year. plus out of 100,000 + seats there are less that 500 available tickets for sale and they are bought up fast real fast

Dover is the same...you have to have tickets by December if you want decent seats for the June race, and you have to have your September race tickets before the June race.

No Doubt...it's probably one of the most intense experiences on all of your senses. The intensity lasts from the national Anthem all the way til you head out of the stands...The neon colors blur by, the sound rings your ears and rumbles your insides...the smells of tire smoke, burnt oil, and exhaust assault your nose and the pizza, hot dogs, and cheeseburgers provide the tastes to top off the entire day!! And that describes only one lap...now multiply it by 500...

I used to work event staff in Memphis at the Pyramid, and worked every Memphis Tigers home game, and I do agree college basketball games are fun to attend. I never really cred for B-Ball though until then. I still don't watch on TV.

The Man will live forever!! - Dale always has been, and always will be "The Man"
NASCAR for sure...been to Dover 6 times and 'Dega once....hoping for Daytona in the next few years, and then Bristol. I enjoy Baseball games in person as well...used to love going to the Padre's games when in San Diego(Yeah I know, not my favorite team, but had no other choice)I grew up in MD though and have always dreamed of going to an Orioles game.

You will love it...it's like a tattoo....at the end of the day you're severely sunburnt, your legs hurt from standing(like the commentators say, "these fans paid for seats they never sit in") your neck is sore from moving your head back and forth to follow all the action and you have no voice, but yet you find yourself magically wanting to do it again!!!
