Do you get taken in easily?

I have seen many posts about all kinds of ptc sites and I was wondering how long do you wait and watch before you sign up with these sites? I am of the mind that if a business has not been around for at least a year or more that you need to wait it out and see if they are ligitimate. Scam companies and sites will not stay around for ever. Who do you trust when you do your research? Do you google it and look for scam warnings? If you find a scam warning are you instantly turned off the idea? i know that we all need to make a quick buck but I really feel that the only ones making the quick bucks are the ones who are taking our money when we sign up. I'm writing this post as a means of making us all think about what we are doing before we get duped by smooth talking scammers. Let me know what you think, Jay
