Officiating this Year

There are bad calls every year. The refs are only human and mistakes are made. But doesn't it seem this year that more bad calls are being made than usual? Game-changing calls? Not just an overabundance of calls, but major calls that have an effect on the outcome of the game. The Steelers-Chargers game was only the latest example.
What do you think? Do you think making the refs full time employees of the League would help?

There's really not much you can do about it. Some years are always going to be worse than others. Like you said, they are only human and the game is getting faster; making it harder to make judgement calls that are correct.

missed calls are just a part of sports but i dont think its as bad as it use to be with the inception of the replay and challenges. That pretty much fixes most of the bad/missed calls. not all but most. so fear not the right team is winning the game.
I dunno what happen in pittsburg last game it should have been atouchdown at the end of game!

That one And the blown call in the Redskin- Cowboys game that gave , and I mean gave, the ball to the Cowboys on the 20 instead of at the one.But then again it was Jeff Triplet's crew. He is famous , or should I say infamous for blowing calls.

There have always been a few bad calls, but there are definitely not as many as there used to be before the instant replay reviews. But the call in the Steelers-Chargers game was not a game changing call; the Steelers won regardless of how that last play went. There is a whole reviewl process that the officials go through before they ever get on the field. But if they made the officials employees of the NFL, what would they do with them in the off-season? I don't really see how that would be financially viable.
