what should a student take when move to another country for studies in winter?

i am going for studies to usa but i dont know the whole list of things i should take. things which are costly in usa and can be taken along. what could be, it is a hard answer but do you know any website or link?

notepads and pens are cheap at Wal-Mart. You can find lots of good deals if you shop at Wal-Mart. Bring with you clothes and camera and if you have laptop bring as well.
Food and school supplies you can get here in USA. Where in USA are you going to study? Good Luck!

Thanks alot for your comment. I dont have laptop and that i intend to buy in usa. Rest of the stuff like blanket, shoes, clothing, i would bring from home. I am making a list of things i should take. In the beginning i would go to NY and then connecticut.
