i was diagnosed when i was 17 with endimetriosis. things didnt get bad till just a few years ago when i strted hurting really bad. they started out with laperscopy and did what they could. after about 2 years things got really bad again and they decided to go in and remove my uterus and clean out all they could. i was told things were then ok. just a little over a month ago i started hurting again and went for an ultrasound and they found a mass. it was then decided to go in and remove the mass and my ovaries. this would only take an hour of surgey. after 3 and a half hours later and the removal of the mass, both ovaries, my appendix and 8 inches of colon...they think maybe now they got it all!! im haveing to take depro-vera shots once a month for the next 6 months. has anyone else had to take this sort of treatment? and if you did, were tere any side effects and did it work for you? i know there is no cure and it can come back, but i really want to hear that this has actually worked out for someone.

Hello auntpondie. That was so sad for you experiencing treatment like that. I don't suffer from it. But I hope you will be fine.
