Today is my other baby's birthday

I feel just as old (if not older) than when my daughter turned 18 in August. My 'baby' son turned 16 today! He lives with his dad, so I don't get to celebrate his day with him until this weekend. But I woke him up this morning with a musical text message telling him Happy Birthday and that I love him. He texted back that he loves me too. My big 'awwwwwww moment' for the day. LOL! I didn't know I had woke him up until this afternoon though until his girlfriend came by and told me that his dad and step mom let him stay home from school for his birthday. He gets to do that every year....lucky dog! My mom wouldn't let me even be late to school on my birthday! We're going to my mother in law's this weekend to celebrate with cake and ice cream. Micah and I already went to the hobby store and picked out the RC car he wants. That thing is putting me back about $150.00 but he's worth it. I am picking it up on Friday, and I'm not even going to bother to wrap it since both my son and I are anxious to play with it. LOL!
So...to make this a discussion....who else is celebrating a birthday this month? Happy Birthday to all, no matter when your birthday is/was!

Im feeling old too! My youngest granddaughter just turned 1 yesterday! Next month it is our other granddaughter, who we have guardianship of and she is turning 2!
These are the only 2 out of 11 grandbabies and 7 kids born in the winter months! I cant believe they are getting so big, walking around and talking. *sigh*
Have fun with the RC car! Happy Birthday to your son too! Why does it have to make us feel old thou? LOL!

My BABY sister turned 51 on the 5th!!
My roomie turned 48 on the 14th.
I will be 55 on the 23rd - and if I'm some what over this darn cold I'll go over to mom's and "make" her take me to the Diningroom!
If my mom's father and mother were alive, they'd be 110 and 112 some time back around the 11th. I think my cousin would've also had a birthday around then too.

It is sad when they get older, exciting in a way to see them turning into young adults but sad that all those baby days and things have gone. My eldest turned 17 last month, I find it hard to believe that he is that old! I have two more birthdays for this month, my sister in laws on saturday and then my hubby turns 30 next monday.

I mean I must be old lol as mine are 24 and 21 actually but soon another year older it only seems like yesterday I gave Birth to them lol

I had a birthday two days ago on the 15th. My husband and I had a blast. We were all over the place and ended up at one of the local casinos to play. We also saw our new grandbaby and went to a party the night of my birthday. Friends had a get together at their house and did some chili and we watched football and had a few drinks. It was loads of fun but now I am a year older. Ouch, bummer that hurt!

Sounds like your son started the day very nicely. I'm sure he'd much rather awaken to a musical text message than an alarm clock. My mom and dad let me stay home on my 16th birthday, which was a nice present to me. They took me to the DMV first thing because they knew I'd be ready to go get my license, which I did. I wore a t-shirt that day that said: I'm sixteen, give me your keys, your credit cards, and get out of my way! My parents bought it for me.

I know how hard it is to see our babies get older. Mine is now 36. I will accept Birthday greetings from you my dear friend. My birthday is in a couple weeks. oh my!!!

Whatever you do, don't forget that the RC car is your sons, not yours...Repeat after me....
The RC car is not mine it belongs to my son.......LOL

Happy birthday to your son, I hope he likes and enjoy the gift you got for him. My brother in law will be celebrating his birthday on Thanksgiving Day this year. Every so often his birthday will fall on Thanksgiving. My sons twin cousins birthday was on November 17th, I also have a deceased Uncle whose birthday would have been today.

That is so sweet. Let's see my one nephew turned 6 on the 1st. Another nephew turns 8 on the 21st. Hope you enjoy the cake and ice cream!
