Hi I have been with my girlfriend for 18 months and she has recently gone into a depression. Her mother died 3 years ago and it seems like some unresolved issues are rearing there heads. Now she refuses to get out of bed, wont hardly eat, wont work, and just is generally miserable. Ive tried to talk to her about it but it only makes her mad and then she shuts me out. Does anybody have any ideas on how i can help her? How I can open a communication channel or how I could possibly get her to seek help

If you or any of her other relatives can't get her to listen then you should try to seek some professional help for her. She might just doesn't know what kind of situation she is putting herself in. Or you might just don't know some problems of your girlfriend that she is having a hard time dealing with and doesn't know how to talk to others. If you love her, stay by her side at this moments and just what I've suggested, seeking a professional help may do good as they are the ones who studied and have some expertise on dealing with these kinds of depression.
