If given an option to own a robo dog, how many of you will go for it? I know there are robos which can do some activities.
Assuming a robo dog can have complete features and characteristics of a dog then will you own a robo dog or real dog? Why?

I still prefer a real dog. When any of the family members will leave the house and go to work our dog will go with us until we ride a transportation and they will go home, when we arrived from work, they welcome us. As if they know the sound and what kind of steps we have and they can hear it even a block away from our house. They also makes us relax after a work. A real dog cant be programmed unlike a Robo dog that needs to be programmed before they do what a real dogs do.

I will still prefer a real dog, because it has got feelings.. BUt a robo dog doesn't.. A real dog can share our problems and can feel that we are sad and unhappy, so they will lick us or even lick away our tears when we cry.. BUt a robo dog can never do that, as they are feelingless.. They only do things upon command, and not on initiative.. lol

I would not buy a robo dog.I would buy a real dog.The cost of a robo dog is very expensive. Also i should take care that no one throws water on the robodog to spoil it.A real dog may get scared of robbers and run.But a robo dog will catch all the robbers.

dear sivanj...
well your question is very strange!!!
you know, anything that is living can't be compared to a non living. the most precious non living thing can't replace a living thing.
i have 3 dogs and all are equally lovable and dear to me, and nothing how precious it is can equals them.
and what a robo god can do??? they can't be as loyal, lovable, caring and dear to me as my own real dog. my dog are like my family, i feel sad when they are ill, and i feel happy when they are around me palying.
there develop a strange relationship of not a pet and owner, but of a friend or own child.
your gog loves you when you feed them, love them, take care, and they loves you even you hit them, because they know that they are yours.
so i'll suggest you that if you got this option of owing a real pet (dog) then always go for it, robo dog are no replacement for the real friend dog...

even if still gives all the features of a normal dog, i don't go it. i don't thinks it can be as affectionate as normal dogs can be. the main thing is you will get the felling that it a machine but not a dog. some where around the corner you have this feeling that this not real no matter how much you love it.
