What are the best vitamins for people aged 60 plus?

Hello everybody, I wanted to ask if what particular vitamins should our folks must take?my parents aged 62 (mother), 69 (father)constantly complaining fatigue, I am very concerned but since they are living in the province and could not make it here in the city, I cannot bring them to see the doctor. Our province lack specialist. Hope you can help me. Thanks!

Hi jlamela. In order for your parents to remain healthy and to avoid diseases which are common to aged 60+, certain vitamins should be taken and these are as follows: Calcium, this will make their bones stronger and if taken regularly, prevents osteoporosis and arthritis. Vitamin A, which helps in preventing fatigue, eye strain and also improves failing eyesight. It also helps the ears as it improves hearing. I suggest them to drink carrot juice on a daily basis because it will not only improve their eyesight but also at the same time brightens their complexion. Vitamin B, prevents cataracts in the eyes and also prevents baldness and keeps the skin free from wrinkles. Vitamin C, is also very good for their eyes and also for their ears because it corrects hearing defects. It also helps in keeping the gums healthy and prevents tooth decay. Vitamin D, makes their bone strong and firm. Ask them to try to relax in the sunshine for 1 hour to get their supplement of vitamin D. And lastly, Vitamin E, it prevents wrinkling of the skin and keeps it soft, smooth and glowing. Your parents should also eat healthy foods like green salads, whole grain cereals, fresh green leafy vegetables, lean fish, low fat milk etc. And one thing not to be forgotten is to drink a lot of water because water detoxifies our system. All the vitamins, iron, calcium etc are needed. I have heard that old peopel need more calciums. it is also suplimented by vitamin D. plus they need vitamin A and E for skin and eyes. For resistance power they need vitamin C, For blood health they need Vitamins B
