Yesterday, I was not able to participate in mylot as my pc get hacked and infected with a virus called sowar.vbs. I can't continue doing on anything because my pc keeps on frozing and I can't access the taskmanager. When I close something, there is note that this program is not responding, and those program where programs I don't know about. TI am trying to resolve the problem yesterday. I surf the net, and got a step by step solution on to fix it. Well, the site was really helpful, help me get rid of all those viruses that sleep on my pc. After I did the step by step process being stated, I perform a Kaspersky Online Scanning, and whewww, no more virus. Thanks to it.
By the way, the site is www.bleepingcomputer.com

Try this. Go to =start=run type "cmd" and hit enter. At the command prompt, type in your primary drive ( which is usually c, if not, u should change it), so type : "attrib -s -h -r -a autorun.inf" and hit enter. Type "dir" and press enter. Type "del autorun.inf". Repeat the above commands for each drive on your computer including your flash/usb drive. Now search for and remove sowar.vbs,SysRes.vbs, Cool USEP Scandal.vbs. At the command prompt type in your primay drive location "attrib sowar.vbs.* -s -h -r -a" and hit enter. type "dir /s sowar.vbs" and hit enter. f the file is present, type: "del sowar.vbs" and press enter. Repeat those commands for all your drives , exit comdand and reboot normally.

Hello Pitulica,
Thanks for your suggestion. I have already solve my problem with regards to this. i did try your suggestion. But when I type attrib -s -h -r autonrun.inf it says file not found - autorun.inf. So maybe it was successfully deleted.
happy mylotting

Hi honeylore,
Well done you for getting rid of it yourself, it's not easy to do. I had a virus on my pc the other week and eventually downloaded maleware it's free and that was brillant, ran a scan, it just located it and got rid of it for me, so easy to do.

Hello Scorpio,
ajah to you too, because you were able to perform it by yourself. Well, it is true that it is not easy to do, that it takes time and effort. But at least, you've learn something and you save some money. some computer technician, would say it needs to be reformatted even if virus can still be cured. That is why, as long as I know I can fix it, I made it a point to do by myself.
