Well, one thing I know for sure is that depression causes you to want to stay in bed. It also makes you tired, gives you a lack of energy and lack of motivation to do much more than want to go back to bed.
Losing a family member sure would trigger depression.
Could also be as simple as you're not sticking to a regular schedule of going to bed and getting up at the same time each day. You could try going to bed at the same time each night and getting up at the same time (after about 8 hours of sleep?).

I have encountered this situation myself and I just let is go without a fuss. However, it only lasted a few days and not 2 months. I would be interested to know the reason for this. Cheers!!

Have you been to the doctor lately? You could be going through depression maybe, just a thought. I would considering going to the doctor and getting a check up. I am sorry to hear about the passing of your father. When I lost mine I went through a long depression and was sleeping odd times throughout the day. I hope that you feel better soon and again I am sorry for your loss:(

Hello friend, it sounds as if it is probably grief that you are going through since you mentioned that you dad passed about two months ago. Sometimes we are grieving and we don't even realize it. Anyhow it would probably help for you to be able to talk to your pastor or a professional counselor about it. I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I had a sister that passe almost two years ago and it still hurt but eventually the hurt will be less and less as I believe that she has gone on to a better place. With your dad it may help for you to continue to try to form a good strong relationship with your mom and other siblings, so that you all will feel free to talk about whatever it is that you are feeling. For some people it helps just to stay busy with their work. In other words, if you keep busy you hardly have any time to think about it. Also reading or writing out your feelings might be helpful. So I hope that something I"ve mentioned here will be useful information for you. If you feel like it's a serious problem for you to be sleeping all the time you should see your family doctor as it could very well be a form of depression. Take care, Happy mylot.
