Al Khalifa's first payment, for $35,000, went toward paying the utility bills at Neverland, Jackson's 2,500-acre (1,000 hectare) ranch and miniature amusement park in California, Thanki said. When Jackson was found innocent of the molestation charges in June 2005, Al Khalifa footed $2.2 million in legal bills, the lawyer said.
Sheiks son says all told M. Jackson took a 7 million dollar advance on an album and book that never came out.
Michael Jackson says the money was a gift. Sounds kinda familiar. Anyone really think he will have a comeback? He has talent. Or had, there is no denying that. But he really has gone off the deep end of strange IMO.

I can't see how 7 million dollars would be a gift. Obviously he had a agreement b/c they found the loophole in it which is the music company didn't take off. I just read something the other day about Jackson signing his Neverland house over to a company that he's partners with or on the board or something. Reading this makes me wonder if he didn't do it so that it couldn't be seized in a lawsuit.

He very well may have. It's a shame how his behavior has changed peoples mind about him so dramatically.

I realy want him to get his life back on track, just like Britney Spears.

Well if Britany can do it I am sure he can he might not have the looks or body but he has the voice or used to haven't heard him sing in a long time. Alot could have happened since then. I just hope he can get his life straightened out. If he signed over his Home to a company to save it I am sure it is something we all would have done if he had a choice.

Yes, Michael has gone off the deep end of strange. However, with proper psychological treatment and medicine he could come back. After all, Brittney's trying it again, isn't she?

Wow,Why is he afraid to tell people of his illness? Like what it is?It is easy to forget he is 50 years old he doesn't seem that old. Well, the music company they planned on building was never built so I say he should get out of that contract but have to pay all the other money back even if it was what he called a gift. Yes, he has alot of talent I even love his music, He has done alot of wrong things
in his life for one keeping children at his home no matter how much he loved them because someone was always out for the fast buck would take advantage of the situation and in some cases did. Did he do all that he was accused? I don't know. I think the pressures of life got to him seemed like he was okay and normal till he started having troubles because of the charges. I think he should write a book,
he might not want to dredge up all the hurts and past but he could really make alot of money and alot of people would buy the book just to see what it says. I really do think he could make a comeback. He still has alot of fans of his music. I don't like what he done a few times or maybe his choices in life but that doesn't have anything to do with his music and how much I like it.,

I don't know if Michael can ever come back to mainstream, or even write for people. It all depends if he has enough fans left after what he has gone through. I know some people still like his music, including me. But I also believe that at least some of those accusations are true. Some die-hard fans say it isn't, and people are just trying to get money, but come on. Too many people have said the same thing, some of it has to be true.
