My favorite Disney film, anyone else think there are underlying messages?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'underlying messages' in the Disney film. 'Lewis Carroll' (or Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) was was an English author, mathematician, logician and photographer. The 'Alice' books for which he is famous contain a great many logical conundrums and jokes. Although he wrote them for the daughters of the Dean of Christ Church, Oxford, they have a great deal in them which is entertaining to adults who like logical problems and anomalies. Much of his 'nonsense' writing was really a collection of 'insider' jokes. You really should read the books (and enjoy the delightful Tenniel illustrations).
