How Many Websites Are there in a Cyber.........???

I don't know any information on how many websites that are in the internet. I think there are more than a billion sites in working. When I searched for new web site registration, all the domain names with three letters in the TLD's .com, .net and .org are not avialable. When I looked why it was happened, many of the registrars registered the three letter domains with their own cost and they are reselling for the cost of $3,000 and it was the minimum amount for those sites with only three letters. I am just explaining my experience with these site names.

I think I heard somewhere that there are around 35 billion pages on the internet, I checked this out and there are atleast 30 billion as of 2007 so we are looking at 5 pages per person in the world and about 20 pages for every internet user in the world :)
