Somebody told me this, get a dictionary everyday memorize one word from it and its definition. Use the word in a sentence that day.

Well Im from Romania and when I came to America, I didnt know one word of English. This was in 3rd grade. My parents made me go to school and I made friends really easily because I loved playing soccer and I am really good and people looked up to me for that. I think I learned the language in about a year, before I could acctually have a fun and intresting conversation with someone.

widen your vocabulary, read a lot, and in everything you do, use the new words that you learn. have an english dictionary with your mother tongue translation handy. do not be shy in speaking English. sometimes, the reason why you cant speak English is because you kept saying to self I'm poor in English.
