I was doing dishes and baby was supposed to be napping with Daddy..I went to check on them and my son was no where to be found! I ran through the house calling him...FRANTIC! My husband as well was awake and looking for him..This went on for 10 minutes...I was in tears running around the outside of our house thinking baby had somehow gotten out...when my hubby found him...He had climbed into the bottom shelf of his old bassonette (I store blankets there) and had been watching us quietly the whole time!
My other children had done similar hiding when they were about the same age...I have always wondered how they figure out it's funny to hide!

OMG! That is funny but I can realte! Bailey when she was 4 did not want to leave Grandpas house and decided that she would hide when she overheard us talking about it being time to go. She slipped out the backdoor and went and hid under the deck and let us run around panic stricken for 20 mins.! Then we finally heard and "I am under here cant you see me!?"

My little girl disappeared once. She was about 18 months old at the time, maybe younger. The three of us (me, my husband, my older daughter (4)) were looking all over for her. What was worse was that we could hear her "talking" but we couldn't find her. She had walked out onto the front porch (which is glassed in) and I guess closed the door of the house behind her. I don't think she could reach the handle to open the screen door to exit the house completely. But it was so funny that we could hear her but couldn't find her. Cheeky kid!
