I bought a used treadmill from a lady my daughter works with. I didn't know her husband smoked. When I got the treadmill home, it spelled like stale cigarette smoke and now it makes my house smell like it. We don't smoke and I don't like the odor. What can I clean it with to get the smell out of it? I wiped it off with some lysol disinfecting wipes but that didn't help. I wish people would realize that their smoking makes things stink

Hi ya lilcee
I agree with cheapcindy definately use baking soda. When my kids threw up in the car it really stank so I used baking soda and it really works. I also used it when my youngest was potty training and weed everywhere where there was carpet! It worked to remove that smell too. Once you get rid of the smell you can then start to use things to make nice smell like air freshners etc! Good luck!

Eurgh Smoke is the worst smell to get out of anything! The problem is it will be in the other furniture in your room now. What I siggest is airing the room out everyday and maybe buying some febreeze or some kind of odour-eater to spray the room with every day. It will probably take a while for the smell to go but that's the best I can suggest I'm afraid!
