Speaking in other toungs.

speaking in tongues is a gift just like gift of healing,preaching, teaching,etc.. as it was mentioned in the Bible. because it is a gift, not everyone can do it..some caution is written in the Bible that even if someone has a gift of speaking tongues but then no one will interpret it, its just like sounding a gong.

I personlaly don't believe in the speaking in toungs. I have very strong spiritual beliefs that do not revolve around and church so to speak but, however, it does have some ties with the Christian faith. I was rasied to be Catholic and it really left a bad taste in my mouth and I just did not by into alot of the stuff that was forced upon me when I was a child.

hi, i do believe that there is the gift of tongues. in fact, it is stately clearly in the 1 Corinthians that it is a spiritual gift. however, i have not personally experienced it. i have no doubt that should the need arise, the spiritual gift of speaking in tongues can be given to you by God. however, i don't believe that just because one doesn't speak in tongues, that he/she is a "weaker" christian etc. Some people actually say that.
