Now,I am living a city far away from my hometown in order to work. When I was a middle school student,my kind mother would prepare breakfast before I got up.But now,I must do it myself.I go to bed very late in the night,so I have a clock to wake me up every morning because I can't get up myself so early.Although I like cooking,it is a bad thing if I have to get up so early in winter, for the city I'm living in now is very cold in winter. But it is will take a long time to change the condition. Do you prepare breakfast yourself everyday?

I've pretty much prepared breakfast for myself each morning since elementary school because we all eat simple things like oatmeal, cereal, or eggs and toast for breakfast in my family and we live on different schedules. I get up in the late morning, for example, and my father gets up almost six hours before I do. Unless we are having a special meal like pancakes or something for breakfast, I fix my own, whatever it may be. I find it comforting to cook just after I wake up.

I need a lot of time to get myself ready for the day. I like to get up about an hour and a half earlier than I have to leave for work. I usually make coffee, hot chocolate or tea. Since I'm already warming up water in the kettle for those things, I usually make myself some hot oatmeal. They sell it in individual pouches with different fruit flavors, or just get quaker instant oats and add your own toppings. Fresh or dried fruit, brown sugar, honey, milk, cinnamon. Any combination of those things is usually great. If I'm running short on time I usually just make toast with jam or a peanut butter sandwich. It's best to start your day with a decent breakfast. :)
