How do you remind of yourself to do something?

I will use my cellphone to remind of me to do something, such as the appointments etc. Since my cellphone is with me most of the time. So it's a right way for me. No paper

I use cellphone when i'm out. But when i work in the office, i use calendar to remind me of appointments. I carry mobilephone everywhere, well, i'm considering leaving it for at least one day and see what will happen. But first buy a watch for myself as i use the cellphone to see time.

If I forget to bring the cellphone with me, I will not feel comfortable as I think I will miss some important calls or SMS.

Hi youless, sometimes I forget to switch on my cellphone therefore I still will forget to do something important. Yeah, I'm used to turn off my phone before going to bed for the sake of prolonging the lifespan of my phone battery. What's more I don't want to be awakened by the ring tones in the middle of the night. I usually jot down the important items on a small piece and stick it on pc or on the steering of my car. These are the two things that I will never leave out daily. Or I will drill the thing I want to do several times to remind me. Happy posting

I like the last one. Yesterday my husband's elder sister complained near me saying that her brother always forgot to buy the items she asked for. Yeah, I drilled silently several times and I still can remember what the item she asked me to purchase. I will get for her on the way home after my past time work this afternoon

I have a to do list. I try to clear this list on a daily basis. Most of the time I do. But some tasks just cannot be finished within the day. I used to try using the cell phone's to do list. But I always get irritated by the alarms. So I decided not to use it anymore. Other than some appointments that I put in there that are important and I must be reminded, I rarely use the cell phone other features. I guess I must make it a habit to use my cell phone more. It is really packed full of features that are under utilized!

it is good that you are able to make full use of all the functions. We pay so much for that little device. And it would be a waste if it is under utilized. But with so many gadgets we bring around all the time, it is difficult to make good use of all the functions available. I will try to make use of mine more often. Heh heh...

Hello, youless. I don't. It's always on my mind, because otherwise I will forget. I do use my cellphone as an alarm, but only to help me wake up. Not to remember me of anything. Strange, isn't it? I usually don't have many things to remember, so that's why I find it easy to keep everything in my mind. And when I have to go somewhere, I will tell somebody I know. This way, if I forget, there is a chance that the person will say: "Hey, weren't you supposed to go somewhere today?". It will be enough to make me remember. Nothing wrapped around my finger. No paper. No cellphone. Only my mind, with high chances of failing. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I use mine to tell me when it is time to get off line and do some work.*L* Mine has all kinds of functions, but mostly I just use it for calls and an alarm. Once in awhile, if I forget my camera, I will take pictures with it. I guess I need to figure out how to use the audio and video functions on it. I might need it to blackmail someone, one of these days.*LOL*

*LOL* Thanks but no thanks. I confuse myself enough just trying to answer the silly thing, sometimes. I am not a very technical kind of person. I prefer simple, no nonsense kind of stuff. I am doing good to be on the computer.

me too, i normally use my cellphone. i used the "to do list" features of my phone to remind me of my task so i will not going to forget it. my mobile will alarm once the time is up. last month when im taking medicine to be take up every 4 hours, i need an alarm so i can wake up specially during peak hours like 3am and 5am. and since i also have another medicine to be take up every 5 hours. in to do list i can also have an option to leave a note so i can put which medicine to take. so when my phone alarm it will show what medicine to take up on that time.

When I made an appointment to see the doctor it was an unusual time so I made sure I wrote in big letters on my computer desk because that is where I always sit to go! I can easily forget, as I had things to do in the morning and when I returned I just had an hour before I had to go to the doctor so I didn't miss it! I do keep a diary on my desk as well but I prefer to have coloured post it notes which are more visible and I can't fail not to see them on my desk in front of me!

I have a planner to note important dates and appointments plus I also have a note pad for my to do list. Whenever I have the time, I open my notepad to review the things that I have to do and jut down the things that I still have to do. I use colored pens to write down the things I have to do so that I will know if it is related to my work or if it just a personal task that I have to finish. My cellphone is too low-tech to record all the things that I have in mind hehe
