My husband is a call center supervisor here in the Philippines. i am just worried that BPO's such as call centers here in our country would be affected in the newly elected President Obama's term. I heard that he wants Americans to have more job opportunities in the US that call centers in Southeast Asia will be affected. Is this true? Anyone please enlighten me...

Call centers would certainly be affected. However, I think other accounts that are not based in the US will not be affected by Obama's election into office. What is certain though: if Obama takes an adversary stance towards US companies offshoring, then there will be layoffs as US accounts in call centers are pulled back. What will remain are the non-US accounts.
I'm certainly watching this closely because it will affect my status as a freelance writer. However, I could always look for markets outside the United States, like Australia.
