polygamous men

I have a friend who is getting married. The wired thing is . he keeps on having text mates. In fact, he bugged me to find another one. So, for him to stop bugging me,I gave him the number of my girl friend. Since my friend haven't replied to him yet, He's asking me about my friend. He asked 'bout her looks, how old is she, does she work, where she work. He even asked me to tell my friend that he is very interested in meeting her (which I haven't done yet!) On the other hand, his cousin who is also my friend, even me that his cousin is still finding or looking for his "destiny". My question is, Isn't his fiancee is his own "destiny"? What's going on through his mind?
As the old saying goes, "Men are born polygamous". How true is this? Honest opinion please! I hope all my fellow my lotters will share their views on this... (especially men!!!) Happy myLotting..

I don't even understand how come some men are like these! Maybe they can't still let go of the idea of a lifetime commitment..of a lifetime "imprisonment"??..or they just fool around because they missed bneing free as a bird?..i'll wait for more responses to learn.Happy posting!

How old is your friend and do they already have definite plans for the wedding? Maybe he's not ready yet for a serious commitment, maybe he's still uncertain. I think polygamy has socio-cultural roots. On the other hand, the capacity for loyalty and devotion has something to do with character, personality, and emotional maturity.

My friend is 31 years old. I agree that having commitment emotional maturity comes with it... Take care and godspeed..

Like i have said before - i think it's wrong to transform individual cases into general statements because before men or woman we are all human beings and each and every one of us is unique. There are women who are polygamous and there are men who are like this but there also are both women and men that just want a stable relationship and couldn't care less for other people in a romantic way as long as they are married.
