Hello myLotties,
it's true many of the in the HRT prescribed medicaments contain a horse hormone called equilin(Prempro®, most-selling product in this sector contains Premarin®, the horse hormone). It is extracted from the horse's urine.
But nobody tells this in the patient information leaflet, so most of the women think it's a natural human hormone.
No, it is not. It is much stronger than the hormone estrogen which it shall replace.
The side effects are severe because it influences the uterine lining causing an increased risk of cancer!!
Other side effects are heart diseases, strokes and liver diseases.
What do you think about such pharma companies who produce medicine with such side effects?
Do you suffer from this therapy?
Which experience did you make with the HRT?
Any similar cases with other medicaments to share?

Hello tamara,
i think it's probably a problem which doctor you are consulting in this special age. Some prescribe immediately the Hormone replacement therapy, others hold back and wait until you tell him/her, "i sweat too much ;-)".
Luckily, your doctor is a good choice for you. Keep on referring others to his service!
Happy myLotting whishes cornyman!

If that is the case of using hormone therapy, why not banned this company who keep on producing this kind of hormone therapy. If ever u experienced this kind of problem, be aware of the kind of medicines prescribe to you. On my part am still lucky because i don't have this kind of problem.

The problem with the medicaments are that they need the approval of the FDA in the USA. As long as the FDA doesn't complain about a too high possibility of side effects they don't take away the products from the market or stop the products before they can be sold.
I think money plays also a big role in this approval game. Premro is/was the most-selling product in this sector, why should the FDA hurt the company by stopping to sell it. After this results were announced the prescriptions fall 50%, only because the women were aware of it now.
I think sometimes you have to get used to these things that happen when you get 50 years. The sweating will stop after some years. It's only temporary :-)

Ugh! That's a little disgusting. I went the natural way, mostly because I didn't feel like I could afford medical help at the time. I haven't had too many problems. It seemed right to me to go through naturally, the way women have been doing it for thousands of years.
