http://bighamspublishing.com is now live. I wanted to own my own business, but all these survey sites and other money making sites don't get you anywhere, so I created my own site and writing my own ebooks. I now have two online for sale and a third coming soon.
I don't know how fast they will sell, but its a hobby for me at the moment. I'm not looking for a get rich quick thing, but something I can build from the ground up. I feel that is the only way to do it. You have to have your own product to get anywhere. I have found many many places that I can market for free, get hosting real cheap, and even wrote a book about getting discounts and coupons off alot of stuff. "Coupon Code" is my second book, and chock full of places to get coupons for just about anything.
I can now say I am open for business with my own shop. My first book is about "Craft Consignment Shops- A real business you can own" In it is resources for getting consignors and consignees, with an example of a contract. You can even get alot of the products to sell in a consignment shop for free. The book tells you how. It even gives information and resources on how to manage the business behind the seens.
I'm excited. I am now watching my marketing........ and hoping..

Congratulations on your new website! I have tried to set up a website but has not gotten much anywhere, because I don't have my own product. I also have problems getting traffic to my website, maybe you can share some tips. I hope to be able to publish my own book or ebook one of these days. All the best to your new company!

Thank you Sydney for giving me direction with my business. Yes I do have my business and site up and running, but I was trying to figure out just how nichy I can go with the self sufficiency theme. NOW I KNOW. Self Sufficiency as to getting off the minimum wage, social security, welfare rolls by creating a business with no or very little money. Teach how to build a website, blog, store, where to go for content, how to market with SEO intigrations, etc.
Thank you and I will get started immediately.....

it's not necessary that you have your own product in order to have an online business. i have my own online store and i just sell products of others, it's called affiliate product marketing. though it's not my own product that i sell online, i consider them my own since it makes me some money. advantage also is that i don't need to do the shipping and processing of the orders. i can also give offers the way i like as long as coordinated with the principal affiliate.
just today i just launched a $10.00 discount on all purchased in my online store. i am also giving away a free trial pack of a product.
hope i gave you an idea. :)
happy mylotting and merry christmas!

Cheers to Indie publishing!! I too have my own publishing company. I am not doing the e-book thing, at least not yet. I still like the good, ol'fashioned paper kind. Although, e-books are almost pure profit. The only thing really subtracting from it is website maintenance. I have one book registered under my publishing company with an ISBN and it's for sale on Amazon.
My plans for the future are to represent my friends for no profit (they have to pay the $150 ISBN registration then they get the rest of their profits to themselves) and have three or four authors who aren't my friends who I can actually make some money off of
