why do people want to buy laptops?
i mean, so many people have been scrimping to buy laptops, but some of them are not really out of need, but these gadgets function merely like a bling. but why spend so much?
i know that for a lot of people, a laptop is a necessity, but we have a cousin who bought a laptop and is just playing games with it. i mean seriously, why spend so much? like it is a status symbol?
anyway, yeah, we are also saving up for a laptop because my husband needs it. little by little, we set aside money so that hopefully, in a few months, we can have downpayment for the laptop and then just have the balance on installment.

I think a lot of people want laptops because of their convenince. I have one because I'm able to move throughout my house and multitask. I have a three year old who never stops and I work on the computer so I can stay home with him. The laptop allows me keep an eye on him and do my work. As for other people i think it may be the same reason for some. Who wants to be tied down to a desk when you can have a laptop and take it anywhere. It's really all in how much time you spend on the computer as to whether that extra money is worth it to ya or not.

I think because it is mobile. Nowadays everything is connected to internet and if you really need one, it is easier to have a laptop. Right now in Malaysia, we have many hot spots where we can connect online while having our meals. Whatever it is, I still prefer desktop.

Someone already stated this well. Its about being about to take it whereever you go. You can have it for work and for personal needs. Like me I am always going somewhere with friends and family. It will make things alot easier for me. I am doing the same as well. I have been working off four different sites and the money I save up is going to buy me a laptop so I can have easier access to alot of these sites.

If you're from the Philippines, then perhaps you'd agree with me that most people prefer laptops because it is somewhat a status symbol here. I've had a lot of friends who wanted to buy the latest laptop model for use at home! A desktop is useful for that, and most laptops and desktops these days have the same price for the same features.
A laptop is only ideal if your job requires you to have one. If it's just for playing games, then it's very impractical to buy one. Besides, I think laptops are not made for games they're meant for business use. They don't have the processing power that desktops have.

i believe that laptop is getting more affordable nowadays compared to a couple of years back. the portability of the laptop is the number 1 reason why people would want a laptop instead of a cheaper and more powerful desktop with the same price. with the laptop, you can work anywhere and surf anytime (as long as there is internet connection that is).
