Do you use the pedestrian lane when crossing the street?

Some of us (including me) sometimes forget to pass through the pedestrian lanes when crossing small (or even some big streets) especially in cities that don't strictly implement them .... just thought about this recently, when I was with walking with someone from the province and I feel guilty about it. any thoughts?

I still do because I don't want to be involve in an accident due to not passing in the assigned lane. I want to be a good example to children who are keenly observing what adults are doing. To be a good country, they need disciplined people.^^,

Thank you for your response. You really raised a good point by mentioning the importance of discipline and setting a good example.

I do use pedestrian lane when I'm crossing the street either it was small or big street. I'm feeling guilty if I cannot follow this for I know they were have their rules to implement to us a citizen. Even in the province there were pedestrian lane especially if you crossed along the schools and other busy places. Let us just try to follow and I'm sure there will be orderly and proper way of pedestrian.

I do still follow the pedestrian lanes. But it is just so sad that drivers would still beat and occupy even the pedestrian lane. It's not an assurance that the pedestrian will keep you safe since drivers tend to be arrogant.

hi,
i absolutely used the pedestrian crossing every time i across the road especially in a busy road such as national roads, but when inside streets like residential streets who don't have many vehicles i usually don't use the pedestrian crossing because no many vehicles.

Since i was young... i would always try to look for a pedestrian lane before crossing... because i believe that it is the duty of the drive to stop or slow down when someone is crossing there... and if the don't and hit someone... then they have a huge responsibility towards that person...
But if a person gets hit outside of the pedestrian lane... then he/she is partly to blame for that... because that is not the place where he/she should cross the street...

i'm a law-abiding citizen so i always use the pedestrian lane whenever i want to cross the street.i don't like crossing or going through the skywalk because i'm acrophobic but in a way,i got used to it.and i think it's better that way so i won't get caught and have to pay because of the violation.i also think it's more safer that way.
