Hi there folks, I want to conduct a survey on which is better Da Vinci Code: is it the movie or the book? Because for me, the book is far better than the movie due to its completeness originality. I hope the movie creator will remake the movie similar to what is on the book and just add a twist but not to change the ending and other events. What about you? What's your opinion?

It's definitely the book... i almost fell asleep while watching the movie... and i can't remember any scene that is striking or even worth remembering... but with the book... i can't seem so put it down... i wanted to read everything down to the last letter... I wish when they make a movie version of a successful book... they should at least do justice... and remain loyal to the whole plot...

Normally, I always like the movie better. But I read Da Vinci Code on audio and I have to say, it was fantastic, far more detailed, and I just really enjoyed it a whole lot more than the movie.

I also think that the book, which is the original, is far better than its interpretation in the movie. The twists are far more exciting and heart pounding I didn't want to even stand up and pee! There are so many events in the story that really made it a very good one. The movie, on the other hand, though effectively interpreted the story didn't picked up most of the scenes in the book. Of course, the movie only takes a few hours compared to the timing of all events in the book. Still, it The Da Vinci Code movie is still a good movie. It really is true that the original or the first version is always the best version (for me, I don't know if this is true to others).

I personally feel that the book is better than the movie.the book has a lot more minute details which the movie has omitted due to obvoius time constraints. anyways i did enjoy the movie too. i liked tom hanks in the role of Robert Langdon.

Hi YORI88!! First of all I want to thank you for responding for one of my discussion I created which is "Going Back In Time". Prior in watching the movie..A lot of my friends are saying that they can't understand the movie itself..But after I watched it, I was fascinated. Curiosity arises in me..Is this really true? That there are descendants of Jesus Christ? Although I haven't read the book yet. But hopefully the book will open doors, i mean like what you said, the completeness of the book will make me more easier to understand.

most definatly the book!! read the book a couple of years before they made the film. when i heard about them making it i got really excited as i loved the book. when i watched the film i felt totally let down - it was so boring and left so much out! i think if i hadnt read the book though then the film might have seemed ok.

Yeah Yori, I have watched certain popular novels that were adapted for the screen like the da vinci code as well. I find reading the original story from the book is always better than watching the movie as the producer very often likes to do lots of modification and skips over many interesting and essential part of the original story. They indulge very much in some added long descriptive parts which are not so attractive. There is one thing good is that after watching the movie, it sometimes could arouse the great interest of some audience who are eager to learn more and detailed about the whole original story by reading the book. posting and have a nice day.

definatley the book, for all its faults Brown has a fairly dscriptive style which moves the story along. The film seemed to drag.

I agree with you. I found the book to be really exiting, and really intiguing. I thought the movie was OK, but it was actually a little slow and boring at some points. It just was not as good as the book. I really got in to the book, I didn't really get in to the movie that much.
