no i dont use it. because in india 3g technology is not even launched and its going to launch here within 3months, i am now using my edge connetion through my n70 mobile phone. i am eagerly waiting for 3g tehnology so that i can change my edge conncetion to 3g so can surf internet at high speed. but i think its going to be very expensive because mobile phone companies are putting a lot of money to launch 3g in india, so they will charge more.

I am living in India and 3G was not at all implemented in India. So I never used that technology to access internet. But I used 2G which is WAP or GPRS to access internet.
3G, or third generation, is the generic term used for the next generation of mobile communications systems. The new systems will enhance the services available today and offer multimedia and internet access and the ability to view video footage.
Technically, the main difference between 3G and 2G networks is how quickly data can be sent and received. 3G networks can send data up to 40 times the rates of earlier digital networks, which means that in addition to audio, graphics and text, 3G customers can also send and receive video content, in 3G coverage areas. They provide service at 5-10 Mb per second.
For more details on the 3G Technology, we can find in these locations.

I do use 3G technology to access the wweb, specifically, myLot. At first I find difficulty connecting to the internet, I almost returned the internet kit to the internet service provider. But after a week's time of trying to have a longer span connection, I am now able to surf the net five straight hours, without any interruptions! Now I could do myLot as long as want, I could post every topic I would think of and I could post my responses to discussions I find interesting.
Lastly, I must say that 3G technology is faster than a dial up internet facility.

Yes, I sometimes use it. Most Nokia phones have 3G capability where you can use to connect to the internet. Sometimes I use my phone as a modem for my internet connection. But its a little bit slow in some areas.

I believe 3G has long been around and now we have what we call HSDPA = High Speed Down-link Packet Access which the creator claim that is 18 times faster than 3G, i have used both 3G and HSDPA connection and i must say that they are both faster but obviously HSDPA takes the title when comparing the two.
With HSDPA you can download everything at the highest speed

I have a 3G Blackberry 8330. The 3G network makes the data work a lot faster than other internet options (edge/gps). As far as accessing (regular) internet via laptop/pc, I don't have it, but I'm also not surprised to read that it's expensive considering it's build to provide faster connections, and pick up higher frequencies in wider ranges. Take care & happy mylotting!

I've heard of 3G technology, some of my friends are using it, but I'm not. My cellphone isn't come with 3G technology, thus I can't apply for it. I don't know how to use it too, but I don't think I need it now, so I didn't go and find out also.

I myself have not used 3G but some of my friends are going for the new 3G phones that are coming out. But as I understand it, many places do not yet have 3G access, so that is the main problem right now. From what I have heard, it is much faster than regular DSL. The ISPs need to get set up so they can actually offer it to more people and get the bugs worked out. Then it will be awesome, I think.

Yes I heard about this 3G technology but I have not tried it yet since I prefer DSL for faster access and unlimited time also with free use of phone at the same time.
