Does wearing spectacles make you smart?

Yes! I consider glasses on someone as them being smart. It just gives you that impression of them. Glasses make you look more matured, educated and intelligent also make others listen and respect you. Well that is my opinion anyway of them. I do not wear glasses yet, but I know I need some. I think they make women more sophisticated and classy looking. I also think they make women look more intelligent, friendly and kind as well as more attractive. I think some people who wear them think they make look serious and dull, but not at all. It is now becoming fashionable to wear glasses.

Hello vimaal.. Fine in fettle.. I just wear mine when writing and reading only.. So people rarely see me wear it. But in the class my friends will call me a smart person because I look like a professor. I think it is good because I can read properly and my head-ache also gone after I wear spectacle. If I didn't wear it, my doctor said my long-sight will became worse. So I have to wear it although I hate to see my face wearing it..

NO! they dont glasses have nothing to do with your brain that I can see just for better eye sight

I used to wear glasses after I realize that eyes is experiencing some certain strain. Anyways, it makes a difference wearing spectacles, it makes you look formal and serious, and you tend to get the attention of people.

I don't think so.... it depends on the face and the spectacles you wear....... if the spectacles you wear suits you, then, you will look nice.....

Yes,if one wear a spectacle he looks smart,but at the same time it will be considered a disqualification.Personally I don't like to wear a spectacle.But because of age factor I had lost short right and for about 18 years I had to use glass.But luckily I regained my sight at the age of 68.Now I am reading newspapers without speck,thanx.

I don't know about making them any smarter, but the right pair of glasses can make almost any woman look sexier. LOL

I wear glasses but i dont think they make me smarter. They increase my ability to see and function but they dont increase my intelligence.

Oh how I wish wearing my glasses made me smart! I'm not really clever but they do make me look cleverer and I do wish when I put them on they really did make me really clever, but that only happens in dreams and films

Spectacles doesn't coount. I wear spectacles but I don't see it makes me smarter but it does make me enjoying life around. I used to squint my eyes while in a lecture but since I wear it i can concentrate more. I am thinking of getting my eyes corrected.

Well in the sense that the person can see and receive more sensory information: they are "smarter", but it doesn't really affect their logical reasoning so much after receiving the sensory information. I agree that having glasses makes you appear smarter, however, sometimes wearing the wrong kind will make you more unattractive. Thus, I really want contacts - and don't believe I'll be sacrificing my intelligence for it at all.

i think wearing glasses just means you have an eye problem... (:
