Virtual Reality Relationships

What id going on with this crap? I seen a news article where a virtual reality couple took it to the real world whe the virtual wife hacked into her virtual husbands account and killed his character. Have any of you played these games and how does it effect your life or opinion about partisipating? I wouldn't mind playing some of these games as they may be fun but will they really effect your real world and family. I see alot of people take this stuff totally out of control.

Yeah, read about that last week. Not at all surprised by it.
That couple in particular, if I'm not mistaken, are going through divorce. So maybe the wife did to her soon-to-be ex what she can't do in real life.
Some people do take virtual reality games seriously. Maybe it's their way of escaping reality.

That is bizarre. I've never played them, but I've heard of them. Some people just take it too far, as evidenced by this story.
