No i dont like to update always only for rare cases i update . Also it is must for every software to disable update button or else the system becomes slow and all process updates in back end so its better to check all system configurations.

If it's free update, then I'll always update the softwares, as the updates always make the software better to use, more features or bugs solved. If I have to pay for the updates, then perhaps I will bear with the current version if I still can survive with it.

I am always getting updates available but sometimes I do not do them. I do not mind if they come up when I am turning the computer off I will do them then but sometimes they interfere with what I am doing on the computer and will even restart the computer right in the middle of something. SO no, I do not always update the software!

Honestly it depends on the software and the cost. If it is a free update I typically will install it unless I have heard of problems being caused by it. There are some apps such as anti-virus that I update automatically to ensure it is update and able to check everything it needs to. When it comes to Windows I like to review the updates as some of them are not needed. It also allows me to not install something that I know will cause issues based on the experiences of others.
