Hey everyone! If only we can take on good look at the world and notice how huge and vast it is.All those people, all those countries, all those families.Everyone has his own objective in life and way of living. But yet ,what makes us different from other beings is the ability to communicate and the use of mind and logic. So in how many languages can communicate? well, i'm Lebanese, i speak Arabic which is my mother language. But for all of you who don't know, and studies has proven that rarely you'll find some lebaneses who doesn't speak an other language. Because most of us speak in addition to arabic, french! because since the end of the first World War, lebanon was under the french "occupation" till 1943. In addition, english is a very popular language in lebanon.it doesn't have a main reason for it's expansion in my country, but it is a fact. And i must assure you that you'll find arabic-french-english speaking leabaneses more than arabic-french or arabic-english or even arabic ones. So till now i can speak arabic, french and english. And i'm looking forward to learn Norwegian, because i always wanted to go live there or maybe italian because i always liked their culture. And, perhaps next i'll learn some chinese or spanish because they're very popular worldwide. But the main language is the "myLot" language! happy mylotting

I speak Danish (my native language), English and German. I have lived in Italy and I still speak some Italian, but I haven't used it much since I got back to Denmark and I am starting to forget some of the words. I understand some French but I am not very good at speaking it. I used to study French at school, but that was many years ago. I have some Japanese friends and I can read and understand a bit of the Japanese language. I also understand a bit of Polish and a bit of Estonian, but I am not able to speak those languages. In the future I would like to learn Russian and Chinese. Yes, I love languages ;-)

Wow, that's very interesting! It stands to reason but I never thought about it before. I speak only english.. It seems strange to me that others can speak and think in more languages than one. I think it's a very good talent. I took two years of french in high school, which was quite a while ago and I'm afraid I only remember two or three things.. "J'taime." (If that's how it's spelled.) "Comment t'alley vous?" (That doesn't look right!) and good grief, "fermez la bouche!" (sp?)

I'm Indonesian, so I speak Indonesian and English. I could speak and understand simple Japanese since I love watching anime and listening to J-pop songs but it's still a long way to learn though.

I think English is the easiest language one can learn. Because everything around us is from the USA culture: jeans, donuts,McDonalds starbucks, Hollywood and its movies,etc... Not to mention the popular terms: Hi, Cool, Okay, Bye which are vastly used all over the globe. So you basically can learn English by watching a Bruce Willis movie and reading the subtitles of your own language lol! You can do the same with french and arabic but i'm afraid there's no interesting movies to watch lol! anyway, i recommend someone to practice with by talking to him in a different language. That's the best way i think.Practice is everything. Once you stop using a language you forget it. Like i used to play the guitar, but now it's all gone! Hope it helps. happy mylotting
