It's that time again, December is coming closer... I've decided to have an IOU Christmas this year because our budget is pretty tight right now. My boyfriend and I are getting our own apartment together on December 1, and I'm still looking for a job! I'm also thinking about going to college soon either in December or March(weird start dates I know, its a private college). So all of these things leave little room for Christmas gifts. We decided to get each other small gifts and write IOU's for the bigger gifts. I think I'll wrap up the IOU's in boxes so the tree doesn't look so sad lol. The important thing this year will be spending time together and visiting with family. It's the thought that counts right?

Oh, I have tears in my eyes, One year we were in very much the same situtation. I made gifts for our kids and my husband (a coupon book that he coup redeem for kisses, a night out with the guys, a movie of his choice, a back rub, etc.) and he gave me a beautiful card with a love letter and and IOU for a few things he knew I like (a pedicure, a massage, etc.) it was 15 years ago this christmas and I stll have it! It is by far the best gift I ever got from him... and he knows it.
You can write him a love letter, a poem, or something sweet, and IOU. I hope as you share your lives together, you will find ways to make each other feel special, so that when things get hard, you can stick together and get through stronger and closer than ever.
Be Well! and Have a Merry Christmas.
