I had directv for about 3 years then there Customer Service just went out the window, they went up on there prices and just became a nightmare for me to even deal with. So I switched to Dish Network, I was ok until I received my first bill, then I called and they were suppose to fix it and make sure my plan was what was promised. Well it took till about May and finally no issues with the bill. I signed up for a year contract and they changed some of the channels and we just dont watch the channels that they changed to so I called up to find out my ending contract day and they informed me that I signed for 18 months. I told them to send me a copy and so I was suppose to get in in a couple of weeks, well I waited a month and nothing so I called them and the first lady told me they werent able to find it, the 2nd told me she had to transfer me, the third was a gentle men who told me it got lost in the mail and he would mail me another, then he told me that I couldnt get out of my contract. I explained that was not my intention but I had a copy of my contract and it is for 12 months and I wanted to see what he had with my signature on it because it would be illegal to forge someones name on a contract. My husband took the phone and after major screaming and 6 more people finally a gentleman who helped us. He offered us to get out of the contract and no charges he even took care of our last bill. I felt bad because he was the only gentleman to help and he worked for an awful group of people who need to be retrained or fired. I called Directv back and signed up with them again. Has anyone noticed how these Sat company's are good for about a year or so then all of a sudden its like they get there big head and go down hill. If you find the one worker that will go out of there way for you then it wouldnt be a problem but they hire 100 to that 1. Has anyone else gone threw this with Sat companies or any other type of companies?

Yes it is all about money and time with nearly all companies these days, I used to work in a telephone exchange in days where servicewas the main thing, we could spend as much time as we needed to fix a problem then time came into it, money was now the most important thing, we were times on our calls and given the standard phrases to use that worked the best to cut the transaction short..I think it is very sad, I loved my job when I was allowed to give service, it is not good having to "get rid of them" as were used to get told meaning take more calls...
