Candy or fruit?

What do you prefer to eat candies or fresh fruits? For me it is surely fresh fruit, I like especially grape. I could it it every day. I like also many other kinds of fruits. I think in generally I eat a lot of fruit it taste really great and it is also healthy. But i think these days a lot of especially young people prefer more candies than fruit and this is one of the reason why there is so many obese children these days. So what do you think about it? What is your favorite fruit if you have any?

I would also prefer eating fresh fruits.They are very nutritious and have high fibre content.Fruits are really good to have as a dessert after food.I prefer eating a candy only after eating very spicy food.My favorite fruit is apple.

I heard the fruit should be eaten before the meal because if you eat it after the food it will stay in your stomach much longer, since the stomach must digest the meal first. But I usually prefer to eat fruit after the meal as you.

Of course I would prefer fruit because it is more filling not to mention healthier. At least in fruit you get more distinct and varied flavors than in candy wherein almost all are artificial flavors. My favorite fruit would be the banana because it's easy to eat and delicious.

I like fruit better than fruit flavored candy. Fruit is better for you anyway and generally will fill you up more than a piece of candy. Also, they cannot ever get the flavor right in candy. Something is always missing. I, personally, think it's nature as candy is so manufactured.

Why to eat some candies which are flavored by the taste of fruit when you can have fresh fruit instead? I prefer fruits as you.

I prefer fresh fruit or any kind of fruit/vegetable. I'm trying 2 eat healthy now and eating low fat and low carb stuff. I want 2 lose weight so i'm trying to stay away from things that our bad for you. But once i na great while I will crave candy and I will cheat and have 1 candy bar or something. But lately I haven't been that much of a junk eater so I think i'm doing good. But I know once thanksgiving/christmas comes along I'm gonna ruin my diet but that's ok I'll just tsart over again the new yr!

Good luck with your way of eating, you will be surely rewarded for it. I think it is ok to eat some candy from time to time, it can not hurt the body.

I'd opt for the healthier option which is the fruit.. I love oranges, banana, pomelo and strawberry.. actually, i'd like to eat any fruit as long as it tastes good.. i've noticed that kids tend to eat more unhealthy foods such as junk foods and sweets than eating foods with nutritional value..

Yes lot of young people eat unhealthy, but I think this is usually the fault of parents, what do you think about it?

sure it's fresh fruit. I don't like to eat candy. Is it weird for girls? haha. I like to have fruit juice, fruit salad, etc. For females, it would be better to eat fruit than candy. Cause it can beautify our skin. ^_^

I love fresh fruit but sometimes there is no substitute for chocolate! I agree that kids are getting entirely too many sweets. Daily desserts and treats seem to be a staple of the average diet nowadays. We didn't get so many when I was a kid. Treats were a special thing, a rarity, maybe once a month. That usually consisted of a few Oreo cookies and a glass of milk. Desserts were also a rarity. Sometimes my mom would fix us a bowl of rice with raisins sprinkled with sugar and then pour milk over it. That was my dads favorite dessert so that's what we all got. Apple Butter sandwiches were one of my favorite treats! At Grandma and Grandpas house it was a whole other story! There was always cake and cookies and candies all over the place and we could have as much as we wanted. Ugggh thinking back on it I can't believe how many sweets she used to give us thinking she was spoiling us. And she was.. spoiled me right into a weight problem that has haunted me my whole life. It's a good thing that my hubby isn't a big sweet eater. I don't even keep sugar in the house. We don't eat desserts except on special occasions like holidays or birthdays. Our occasional treats are usually chocolate ice cream but we don't do that too often. We are both fruit eaters though. I'm partial to berries and melons. Hubby loves his grapes. We have a pear tree in the yard and we both love those fresh off the tree during the fall.

I like both. Fruit for me are mangoes, grapes, pears, bananas. Candy is chocolates, mints, cough drops if I believe I need them. I agree, too many kids make a speciality out of candy and that's awful for your teeth and blood sugar. Fruit is good but I've discovered they don't fill an empty stomach. Middle of the road is best. Mint after a meal, fruit when available and candy when on the move.

I would take fruit over candy in any day now. My favorite is all the fruity and ripe Tropical fruits that they have today. I love wild exotic fruits that are very tangy and sweet. Papayas, kiwifruit, mangos, anything that is very delicious, I love!

i love both but i prefer fresh fruits than candy. when i eat sweets i make it sure that i eat it in moderation. i love the taste of pears, oranges, grapes and apples. because you can have them all year round. when it comes to fruits in season i love the watermelon, honeydew and mangoes especially the ones from guimaras island. its very sweet and i can have a 5 servings of it everyday or more.

I used to be a huge candy kid lol. However, I have since become a health freak. Now, if you put an apple next to a chocolate bar I would want the apple more. I think that you can basically teach yourself to love fruit more than candy. Plus, I can eat 2-3 apples for the same calories as a small candy bar. When I do need my chocolate fix, I reach for diet hot cocoa :)

Candy wins all bets for me, fruit is fine, its just not candy. And candy is not really the leading cause of childhood obesity, Its parents! Sure candy does not help at all, but like most fattening foods it is fine in moderation. But parents that let their children eat as much of whatever they want are to blame for most obese children. Or parents that reward their children with candies and snacks.

I prefer fruits because they are naturally sweet or sour and I just really like the feeling of biting into an orange wedge or some grapes. Eating healthy just makes me feel better. . .I've been eating really bad lately so I hope I can find sometime to buy some fresh fruits to eat later. (: With candy, I just go for the sour jolly rancher lollipops. . .

I love fresh fruit. I will eat it as often as possible. It is hard now because the prices are so enormous. I would rather have fruit before candy. Of course I do get my chocolate cravings every now and again. I would hate to be without both of them honestly!

I like fruits. My favourite fruit is orange. I used to eat apple, banana and pomegranate. I eat candy once in week or once in a month. I think fresh fruit taste is better than candies. I think fruits are more helpful to our health than candies. Happy to share your views. Happy myLotting.

fruits are very good indeed ! i think why most children prefer candies is the way they where brought up.. by their parents. if their parents taught them the goodness of fruits, may be they would prefer fruits than candies. but to me fruits are great and do more goodies to the body.they even help in the product of spam for men.... you know what that means,...

I dont eat much fruit actually. But i dont eat candies that much. If I will have to chose between the two, I would prefer fruits. Well I eat bananas, mangoes, pineapples and some tropical fruits. Eating too much candies alone can cause obesity. Physical activities, meals eaten during the day are some of the reasons.
