Why is true romance dead? People are so quick to jump into bed with one another that there is no need for romance anymore. It's sad. Romance makes you feel special, so why would people stop? If any out there is a true romantic, I applaude you!

Must be nice. Tell you fiance to spread the word to all of the guys who have no romance. Maybe they'll get the hint.

I think equality of the sexes somehow killed off femininity and masculinity. The girls now act like boys and vice versa. The girls figure they don't need a male in their lives and the boys are put off by their lack of femininity. What a shame there is something to be said for involving a little mystery in a relationship

And I think that is truly unfortunate. I don't HAVE to have a man in my life, but I like it when there is one. And I like it when we show each other how much we appreciate each other.
Good response, thanks.

People dont take the time anymore to show true love. there is no such thing anymore. fastest way to a point is a straight line and well why would people wanna beat around the bush to get laid?

I think that men have felt empowered by the overt sexuality of women that has increased over the years. They do not have to feel like they have to be super nice to her and go the 9 yards to be laid anymore. They can now just go hunt for being laid without any guise. I acknowledge this but instead of being like a lot of women and just letting it be.... I am not easy to get in the bed so they really have to put effort into it. I have a boyfriend and he is romantic.... which is kinda nausiating at times but he shows me I am special and not just a body.

LOL I think they are rare if they exist.
I agree that men are quick to say what women want to hear for the one end result. I'll stick to my novels thanks. I would rather read about the great relationships in these stories and hold hope that there are men like that. I mean, come on, are they just a wild fantasy created by the author? Do you realize how many of them are married? Maybe that is why they sell so many novels. Either that or that author's spouse has some big shoes to fill!
If you need a pick me up book that is not all about mush but has suspense too, pick up one of the Dark Series books by Christine Feehan. Or even the Eternity/Immortal witch series by Maggie Shayne. Great reading!
