How would you choose a university to do your first degree in?

What do you think is the most important criteria when choosing a university? If me I would like to choose a university which is close to my home. I think most of the university has quite same quality and it is depends on the student itself to make their university to be the best.=)

Personally i went with the best one i got into. Though if i wouldve gotten into a slightly better one half way aroundthe world i dont think i would have gone i have to take cost/gain anaylsis into consideration.

Well-known for producing elite students and have several achievement. I don't care if it is too far from home, as long as my money and time is worth in that university. Aside from that, they have competent instructors and high-tech facilities.
