Gmail Themes

Gmail already takes a lot of band width. I use it for internet marketing and frequently have 20-50 tabs open at once. I don't need any graphics to slow it down. I block almost all graphics to save bandwidth and time loading.

Hm...looks interesting even if they are not good as you say. I have not checked my gmail account today yet, but I will try the themes out next time I am in there. At least I hope it will make the everyday process of checking mail at least a bit more interesting.

Yes, I have seen them though I could not check them out in details. I did not find them very useful though. I checked under sports to see the latest ODI results and a host of sites offering instant cricket update came up! Wasn’t very helpful. I again went back to my trusted rediffmail for the cricket live scores.

hello adihindu....No I have not yet got around to checking the new gmail themes......Oh and you say there is video chat too..Thats' interesting .......I will check it up...Today I just logged on to mylot and started mylotting right away..I will check gmail features and add my comments later.........

It sounds really neat. I have not been there yet to check it out but I will as soon as I find some extra time to. I am working online right now. Thanks for letting us know.

lol =D I have just responded to the same discussion minutes earlier.. lol =D I have not seen the changes to gmail yet, but from what it's being describe, it seems that the themes are quite nice, and i will explore it later when i have the time.. I will choose something nice because most of my mails are in there.. hehe ^_^

Finnally got these themes in my account as well. Well it is not a big deal - whether it is with themes or not, but may work, just if you simply want to make your account look different sometimes. I'll browse the themes some day when I have time I will maybe pick up something for myself.

Sounds great ! I haven't checked my gmail though, maybe a little later, I hope mylot would add some spice also like themes, suits personal likes. However, if we add such feature would it take a little bit slower ? Thanks for the info!

To be honest I kinda like the new themes. I set up the mountains one on my work account . And while I'm hesitant to change, especially if something is working well (I have this 'don't fix what ain't broken' mentality), I have to say that my gmail looks really nice now. I will have to see how those new themes work with slower connection (like the dialup I have at home). Because something tells me they won't be working all that well.. The previous 'new' layout worked terribly with my slower connection so... The jury is still up, you might say

I started this same discussion today and i am amazed on you that how beautifully you are starting a discussion. really nice. gmail video feature can be tested only if both the two persons installed those video chat options. but it dont tooks much time for installation & very easy too. and for the themes, i really liked the last row.. they had given themes in all tastes for the peoples. so peoples can choose their favourite in the available 31 themes.. there are simple, fantasy & Colourful themes are availble. Really a great job from gmail admin. We should definitely thank them. (and finally you won this discussion for getting more responses comparing to me) Congrats!

Thats cool! I had been waiting for this feature since ages. I just checked my gmail and I haven't got this feature yet. Hope to get it soon.

yes... now gmail is developing more innovative features such as themes, video chat and etc. i rarely use gmail to chat with people because of less contacts i have in there but i really do like the themes... it's something new... i also shocked to find something happened to my inbox when i log in it... i hope gmail team will continue produce and creates new exciting features to it's product... all the best!!!

I have tried them.I can say that they are not that good and all the themes are making the letters a little dull or invisible.As a change from the regular dram it is OK.

Yeah I had a quick look at them my self before and I changed my theme to the green one but didn't really look into it any further then that but will have to go and have a closer look when I have a little more time to do so

I have two gmail accounts and I have different themes for both. I am using the tree theme and the phantasea for the other one. They are really upto date. They set the benchmark for the beta chat which yahoo followed afterwards. But yahoo has been advance in terms of chatting facilities. The video chat has been improved by yahoo and even could compete with skype.

I have not checked the themes.. But, I would like to see what new changes that they have as of now..

Oh, I have seen it already. And all I can say is I have to go back to the original theme because my eyes is having a problem. I can only take too much color.
