why was a professional new crew filming the world trade center b4 the crash?

I know it's old news and only conspiracy theorists still think about it, but I think it was after the news story was broken about the crash into the first world trade center building, there was a approximately 15 second news quality video clip broadcast of the plane crashing into the first undamaged world trade center tower. The main part of the question is what possible interest was there in a commercial airliner flying over New York city? The other question is that why was this clip only shown once and then pulled as if somebody had made a mistake in broadcasting it? I have my own ideas but don't want to go too deep on it yet and would like anybody who reads this to have a think on their own...
