The Thinkpad has gone much downwards since it was taken over by Lenovo from Ibm.

I think Toshiba has really came out with nice laptop despite being a relative new player in laptop market. It has great design, nice screen and powerful speaker.

Hey, I think that the DELL XPS isn't that bad regarding to the cost, quality, design, stability and portability. You should also research some HP laptops, they are quite good also.

The Dell fits into that class as it ranks top overall,unlike other brands with only top in one category and are nowhere on other categories.
