As of now, I am thinking of growing abroad so that I can give my brother and family a better life. Also I want to work abroad so that I can give my future family a better life.

There's no place like Home, like Philippines hahaha. Im here in England now,and i really wanted to go back to Philippines but not now maybe after few years, when i am ready to retire there, when i and my hubby had lots of money to live and make sure the future of our kids are okay. What i missed in Philippines is the weather, my family, foods and shopping lolz.
Happy posting.

I prefer to work abroad to earn money. Even without any Financial crisis many Filipinos tend to go abroad to work there. Reality speaks that salary here is really low compare to other countries. I'm willing to go abroad if ever a had given the opportunity to work there.

I used to be in Pinas but now living in US. I like Pinas coz my family is there but I like US now because it's nicer to live here. You can really have a future here and I'm sorry to say this but I don't think I can ever have a future in Pinas.

Well there's no place like home. No matter how much you will and have travelled around in life something inside you will tell you to go back to Philippines cause there's more alamang there than you could possibly see in Pinoy stores abroad. This is a common thing about Filipinos - to dream the impossible dream and to reach the unreachable star from as long as I could remember. It had become part of Filipino culture to travel and work abroad after college graduation or when one's salary is not enough to get through each day. Nothing wrong with that but it's never considered a dream unless you wake up...and waking up means realizing how much you miss your own country, your family and annoying relatives, the salty foods, the silly culture and the sour sinigang. A Filipino dreaming to be somewhere else rather than in his/her own country for the sake of wanting to experience being abroad, take souvenir pictures, and earn better dough should realize that being a foreigner in that country is not always a fun situation no matter how much money he/she is earning. There will be certain emptiness no matter how financially successful one becomes out of working outside the Philippines. We all need to pay the prize of every decision we make.
As for me I would choose to stay in the Philippines if I could but my family is not there so all I could do is visit the country every chance I could so to see some old faces and old places and enjoy the time of my life eating some buco pies and taro cakes.

i'm currently residing here in the philipines but i will be going to singapore by the end of january or february to visit my cousins and uncle and hopefully find work for myself. i've already looked up flights going to singapore and i've narrowed my departure date to the last day of either january or february. it really depends on the next two weeks or so. you see i'm starting with my new job and the trainig is set for two weeks. if i like the job and i see that the compensation package is commensurate to the work load, i'll stay until the end of february. if the work ain't up to par to my expectations, i'll ditch the work and pack my bags and be on my way to singapore earlier.
happy mylotting and cheers!!!

As for me, I would like to go abroad...not because I like to earn more money but because I would like to explore and see the world in a different perspective. I wish to head far north, a place that is totally different from the Philippines. I lived my whole life in the tropics, and perhaps it's about time for me to see the other side of the world. I love the country of course, it's such a wonderful place, and I'll be home eventually. As of now, all I want to do is to go out and see places.^^ Happy mylotting...Nice post^^

I have been abroad but I like it here in our country, though life is tough yet I feel more comfortable in my own community. If I'll go to other countries, I will just go there for a visit and not to stay there for a long period of time.
I believe that success can be find anywhere, as long as you have strong determination to succeed in life and if you will work harder using your talents and skills and always give yourself to nothingless than what God has intended for you. With grace courage and confidence, you CAN!

I would really like to go abroad. I don't like the government here in the Philippines. It doesn't matter how hard people try to contribute to the country's economy. When there are people up there who pocket our tax money instead of making things better for everyone - more REAL pabahay for squatters, provide QUALITY education for the mass, and all that REAL STUFF. Unless those officials are wiped out of the face of our country, we're not going anywhere. I'd rather spend more quiet time abroad where my contributions would actually matter.
Thanks for commenting in my discussion!

The truth is I don't like to go abroad for migration. I just want to be there just for work to earn much money. I don't know what's life there but I prefer to stay here in my whole life. Work abroad attract in many Filipinos here because of our economy which is very low. Even my family is working abroad and some of my cousins living there as they migrate. They are telling me that life there is almost the same here for they earn dollars and at the same time they spend dollars also. The same isn't it? But if you could spend your dollar here it will big as double the amount. And we cannot experience poverty. I cannot say that those who do not work abroad are in poverty but it is lesser than usual cannot experienced that. my final answer is I don't want to go abroad for migration.

Most really depends on the financial status, one of the main reason of filipinos going abroad is to earn quite big money, but if you are financially stable here in the phils then i think many would choose to stay here, as the saying goes "There's no other place like home..". :)

for me, since im an ofw here in the middle east, i prefer to work here to earn money but i'll always think of pinas as home. it has its own advantages and disadvantages, but right now the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. i do hope that one of these days i'll have plenty of money to use as capital there so i can be with my family.
