Why Is It So Hard?

It's so frustrating trying to stick to your eating plan. I think I've tried everything under the sun to lose weight. My biggest struggle is being consistant. Any tips or advice? What has worked (or not worked) for you or someone you know?

I have a hard time making huge lifestyle changes, so diets don't really work for me. One thing that I am able to do, that is supposed to help, is when I eat dinner I eat all my vegetables first (and I make a really big portion of vegetables!). I don't really need to think about portion control then, because I've already started filling myself up with something relatively healthy. I then eat protein, and try to save whatever side (rice, noodles, potatoes) for last, cause that's probably the least healthy.
Also, drinking water really helps. A lot of times you may think you are hungry, but you might really just be thirsty, or so they say!

My partner and I are both very much overweight, and both at an age and poor health that makes axctivity very difficult. We have tried every diet known to mankind. We have come up with our own diet, and I should point out that at this stage we don't know how it will go because we had a fridge full of fresh food that needed eating so we haven't started yet, a couple of days from now we start.

That will save me going through the whole thing, but if you can't be bothered checking out the discussion, we already eat soup for lunch, and we will be substituting soup for our normal evening meal for 3 of the next four weeks. If that shows a result, we will repeat until either we lose the weight we want to, or it stops working.
We'll update as we get results.

I think the best thing is to incorporate small changes into your daily routine that will help you reach your goal. Any diet to lose weight is difficult to keep up with and evey if you do, once you stop you revert to your old eating habits and the weight comes back. I started by increasing my water intake. I began drinking an additional 3 glasses of water a day. It was easy to do. After a week or so, I started trying to burn additional calories daily. I'd park farther away and walk more, try taking stairs, instead of elevators, and other small things like that. I limited desserts to 2x a week and made them sugar fee and low cal. Then I started on my diet, but incorporating more veggies and salads into my diet. In 1 year I've lost 42 lbs and feel great. It is also easier to maintain since the changes have been slow. Good Luck!

I think the main key of the successful weight reducing program is the discipline. My mother and my sisters struggles with the programs for years and no one successful just because they loosen up the programs after they were able to lose some kilograms. I think the disciplines is the only thing that should be maintained, and if you were able to be discipline you would get what you want.

eat apples 3 days instead of main meals.it may make u look like more thin soon.
but if you want to lose weight ,i think you must change ur daily life.
such as :1?every morning after u get up,have a cup of honey drink with tepid water.
2?then,eat an apple.in my town, eat apple in the morning called "golden apple".
these two will let ur body be more healthy and clean.
3?eat more albuminoid food, and less carbohydrate diet.
4?do some ex. when u watch TV or any other time if possible.
good luck!
