A Father's Kiss

Oneday, we were on the bed. I, my wife, and my youngest son. I was holding my son, and kissing his cheek, again...and again...and again... Suddenly my wife asked me why I had never kissed her the way I kissed our son. And I just could not answer her question. Why did she ask taht question? Do you think, she might be a little jealous? Is it normal? Man...I never understand a woman I guess........

It sounds to me like she was just a little jealous, but I guess it dosen't take much for that to happen.

I believe your wife is showing signs of insecurity! A normal person would feel pride, instead of envy, that you are showing love to a human being that both of you have brought into this world! She should know that the love you are showing to your child is also love to the person who shared this miracle with you!

Psychologically, when a child is born,a third life comes to be part of the relationship between wife and husband.Love is shared.Love does not actually decreases on sharing-this is to be felt and understood. The wife in this case has a sense of lacking this love from her husband. Not jealousy, but a little more demanding.A wife who is a mother to someone can't be jealous to her own child.
