In just two days our youngest daughter will be in town with her husband and two kids. Haven't seen the kids in 7 months. I can't wait to see them and spend time with the grandkids also. Our little granddaughter is only 14 months old and have only seen her three times. I am so excited and can't wait. This will pull me away from myLot for about a week which is the time they are here. They are staying with one of our other kids who has a huge house and plenty of room for the kids to roam. Are you expecting family or friends for Thanksgiving and anxious to see them?

Yea! I am so happy for you that you will get to see your daughter and grand kids for the first time in 7 months. I hope you enjoy your time with them.
I will be going to St. Louis on Thanksgiving to spend it with my brother and his family this year. I see them at least once a month usually, but it will be nice to see them.

Our daughter manages a daycare center and takes the kids with her to work. Not much point in my going to visit if nobody is home. I do miss them terribly. Have a great time visiting your brother. It's cold today in St. Louis. Thanks for responding.

That sounds wonderful!I love how excited you sound.
My same relatives that I see around a lot will be here. Except one brother, that I avoid, may or may not be there. I hope he is able to go to Florida by then.

I have 4 children and 3 of them live close by. I started asking what their plans were 2 weeks ago so we could get things organized ahead of time. One daughter is going to her inlaws. I asked one daughter if we could go to her house since it is larger to hold everyone else, she agreed and decided to invite her husband's parents. My son is the one who lives out of town and called her to say that he couldn't afford to come, so he won't be here. The last daughter has to work that day but is coming afterwards. I think that I will have her 3 daughters until she is off work since her babysitter doesn't work that day. I all honesty I will be with the grandchildren that I see the most, but that is fine with me, even though I would like to have all of us together and I would love to to see the others.

I understand the confusion. We also had this problem last year and this year. Last Thanksgiving our daughter was married the day after and this year the same daughter just had a baby. Everyone is going to her house since it's huge but still makes for a difficult time with a new baby. It took atleast 2 weeks to get it all straightened out. We flew our youngest daughter and her family in again this year so we could spend time with them. Once they get here later today, we can all relax and enjoy the holiday. Thanks for responding and hope you do have a nice Thanksgiving.

It's not really confusing, I just wanted to get it all done ahead of time so we know what is going on and we can plan the food. As it is, we still don't know. SO, the daughter who is hosting, and I, will just plan and do it. The working daughter is complaining about not having money so I am not asking her again about anything and will just cover her part. She is having a problem with the other daughter's inlaws being there so I just told her not to talk to them! I don't talk to them much myself. They are the parents, though, and should be invited and it isn't my house. I can tolerate!! Thanks, and have a happy holiday yourself.

Oh that is wonderful to hear and I know you are so very excited to have them come for a visit. We were going to go to my daughter's but as of yesterday things have changed and she and my grandson will be coming here when he gets out of school on Wed. They will be here sometime Wed. evening or night. My son in law is in Baton Rouge right now working and won't be able to make it this year but he will for Christmas. My daughter and grandson will have to go back on sunday after Thanksgiving so he can get to school on monday. Have a great time and enjoy your family time.

Great carolbee!! You have all the reason to be excited. I am not expecting but rather I myself would be going to another city with my family members for about two weeks during Christmas. That's almost a month away but I am looking forward to it too.

How wonderful! I'm so happy for you :-) I can totally relate to your excitement. My oldest daughter and family can't get up here to visit very often, they live in the same state but very far away. So, I only get to see them a few times a year. They won't be able to make it for Thanksgiving, one is off of call, and the other one is on call that day. (They're both large animal vets, so they're always busy with emergency calls.) I do get to talk to my daughter almost every day, but I sure would love to see them in person with my little grandson (a 1 year old.) My other daughter and family I get to see every day, so I guess we'll just do a small Thanksgiving here. I hope you have a wonderful visit with them! Us grammas are kinda like kids on Christmas morning when our little ones & family come to visit lol.

I understand about the "on call" career. Our daughter and her hubby are both firefighter/paramedics. Our son-in-law is working Christmas. Just comes with the territory! Enjoy your Thanksgiving. I sure know I will cause I miss our grandkids. I am so excited that I can't find a place for myself today....lol Thanks for responding.

Hi carolbee, it's ok to pull yourself out of mylot for a week or so, it's all worth it, you'll be with your cute grandkids . I'm happy you'll be having this sort of reunion, I really wish you'll have a great time. We Filipinos don't really have Thanksgiving here. But I am expecting my Mama and Papa the day I deliver my baby maybe 2 weeks from now. I haven't seen any of my family members (and even relatives) for 7 months or so and I'm sooo excited as well! Have a great Thanksgiving to you!

Have fun putting up your tree. The kids aren't staying with us because of the cat. They are staying with our middle daughter. I just can't wait to see them. Feel like a kid loose in a candy store waiting to check out! Enjoy your Thanksgiving and thanks for responding.

How exciting for you! I can see you are looking forward to seeing them again. I'm very lucky as all of my immediate family live in the same town and we see each other quite frequently. Regardless, I am still looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with them and enjoying our time together. It's always a blessing to have your family with you on special holidays. Enjoy!

You are definitely blessed to have your family near you and can spend time with them. Our youngest daughter lives 1,200 miles away and I miss seeing her so much along with her 2 kids and hubby. Our other 2 kids live near us which is great. Enjoy your time with your family. Thanks for responding.

Enjoy your time with your family. You are going to be a busy lady next week with your cake and pie orders. We are going to my brother's house for Thanksgiving dinner. One of our kids is also having dinner with her in-laws at her house. We are going to go to both houses, eat and visit. I'll be full for a week...lol Yep, I am so excited to see our daughter tomorrow. Haven't seen the grandkids for 7 long months. Thanks for responding.

Hi carolbee,
My, you'r going to have a house full, fantastic and having your granddaughter bust be great, and I hope you have a fun thanks giving day. We don't have things like that but just Christmas, I think all my brothers and sisters are doing their own thing so it will only be me and my husband on our own, so it will be a quiet Christmas for us. Happ Thanksgiving Day to you and your family.
