Have you noticed that AC edits content?

They did that with a few titles of things that I wrote. I didn't even recognize a few of them because of the title change. I have had a few be declined for publication with notes on the submission page on how to edit it or things that I needed to add or remove. If they want boring reviews then they are well on their way to them when they get on the edit bandwagon" and want everything a certain way.

The only thing they've edited for me was titles, as others have said. I wasn't happy about one of them, but they do it so the search engines can find it easier. That means more money for me, so I won't complain. Most places will edit if needed. If you write for hard copy (magazines, etc.) you'd be really good to never have anything edited.

Do you have your original copy saved on your computer so you can see the differences for sure? Sometimes they will change it back for you if you can prove it's not what you wrote. Fortunately, the only thing they've changed on me is titles, and while they haven't all been for the better, in my opinion, I could live with most of them. Good luck! Keep writing! I have had titles of articles changed, that is the most editing that I have noticed, them doing to mine.

All I have really noticed is that sometimes they will reword a title for SEO purposes but (generally) it still says the same thing. They did change one title on one of my articles and their new title focused on something completely different than the article. The original title was Like a Bolt of Lightning comes Juliette (Lewis) and the Licks focusing on the title of the album and the name of the band, what I thought would be the more highly searched terms to find that particular article. They changed it to Actress Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers) Starts a Rock Band Juliette and the Licks and that kind of frustrated me but I guess the meaning was still kind of the same.
