well i was a lot disappointed after watching the oscar-winning movie, 'the departed'. it turned out to be just a mediocre movie with over the top usage of the 'F' word.
and the next year they award no country for old men with the oscar and oh boy, didn't this movie sucked or what? u've got the psycho killer on the loose searching for his money, a guy who has stolen the money and keeps running from him and various other people who just fall victim to the villain. the plot is pretty plain and there was a little bit of thrill in the movie, the madman's weapon was crazy but then there wasn't anything else to actually enjoy. it had horrible dialogue and sound, not because i found it hard to follow the southern accent, but most of the dialogues were merely murmurs and whispers that were inaudible even at high volume, and then there would be a gunshot and i would find myself lowering the volume again.
i still dont understand the movie at all... is there some big detail that i am missing??? here's the story that i understood..
two mobs involved in gun fight
all gangsters ending up dead leaving behind a bag full of money
a passerby finds the bag
the bad guy is furious because of the missing money
bad guy searches for the bag using the tracker installed in the bag
several innocent victims
in the end the villain kills off the person who has the bag, also his family is dead
the villain is involved in a road accident and makes it out alive
the sheriff is talking to an old woman
and then... WTF!? the end!!??@@##$$%%^^
and there were a whole lot of boring scenes involving the endless talk/murmurs between the police/sheriff or whatever...
how did u find the movie? and can u please explain me the movie if u have understood it? =P

I did not think it was a bad movie...
The only confusing part was the title...
I cannot relate the title to the movie.
