There's something wrong with my right eye. I don't know what it is but it's like a film over it and I can't see well. At night the film usually isn't there but it's really blurry and I'm constantly trying to clear it up. Hubby doesn't think it's pink eye because it's just barely pink and he says it's in both eyes from what he can see. I've never had this problem before and it appeared out of the blue. I've had pink eye but not this, what ever this is. Always something. Always.
Do you think if I was to be slapped around a little bit that it might change the course of my life? LMBO!! Hey, gotta make that sort of comment when it's so black all around me. LOL

I have conjunctivitis which is a fancy word for pink eye. It's very contagious so I have to be very careful and wash my hands very often. I pick up my prescription tomorrow because the pharmacy didn't have it in stock.

I've got to see the doctor too, my eyes sometimes got blurred and in tears, I suspect it happened everytime my BP is high, or I just need an eyeglass, good I read your post, it reminded me. Good to hear yours is just an eye infection. Take care of your beautiful eyes.

Please bing, please go see a doctor because you only get one set of eyes. Once they're gone, they're gone. Promise me that you'll do that! Glasses aren't all that bad, really. I got my first pair when I turned 40 so I can read without the letters jumping all over the page. I'm sure you know how that is. It's so important to care for your eyes so you can continue to see. You see, I'm legally deaf and my brother is legally blind. I was born this way and it has gotten much much worse over the years but I can still hear some but I mostly read lips. My brother got the macular degeneration which is heretitary although no one that we know in our family has it but him, like I have lupus which is heretitary too but we know no one in our family that has it either. It doesn't matter anyway for it's not going to change anything but it would've been nice to know someone who had it before us so we'd know more of what we're in for. Anyway, please get your eyes checked!! Write a note on a sticky note and put it somewhere where you'll see it first thing in the morning, ok?

Good luck to you! I am going today also. I am really shakey, and my body keeps jerking. I went to the ER Monday, they checked my BP, sugar, and done some blood tests. They all came out ok and they sent me home. Hopefully, I will get some answers today.

Yeah it could be dear friend! BUT, if it would actually work, I'd take a bus up to you right now!! lol
It's conjunctivitis, an infection of the eye. Walmart didn't have the medicine in stock so gotta go back tomorrow to get it.

You probably already know what's wrong by now because I'm just getting to your discussion late and responding from the email so I can't see if you've found out what it might be or not.
Sounds to me like it might be conjunctivitis (pink eye), Cats. Your eyes don't have to be blazing red and the fact that your hubby said it's in both eyes says it just might be. If it's worse when you wake up, I have no doubt it's conjunctivitis. Are they itchy or weepy? If not, and it IS conjunctivitis, they will be! Well, actually, that film over your eye pretty much tells me that at least that one eye is weepy (what my husband calls "goopy").
I hope you've seen the doctor and you're getting treatment for it, Cats! Like the giant said, "Ain't no big deal!" You'll be bright eyed and bushy tailed (maybe just bright eyed) in no time!
Take care and do what the doctor says!

Yuppers.... I have the contagious crap.... yippeee, lucky me!! lol It did get really red and irritated for about two days then it calmed down but the film stuff which I call "snotty eye" or "eye snot" stayed and I just got tired of picking at it time and time again so I went to the doctor. It doesn't itch but is very gooey. Having lupus like I do, I have no immune system and catch things so easily. It's why my house stays clean!! I'm not one that takes getting sick very gracefully. The first day - fine, the second - I'm crying. I can't stand being pampered and such. I'd rather do it myself!! lol I'm just too independant and I wanna stay that way! lol

Hahahahaha! You sound like me, Cats! I just want to be like the cat and find a quiet corner somewhere and curl up in it until I feel better. I hate being pampered! Well, okay, it's nice, but when it's overdone I just want to go away somewhere.
I go on a cleaning frenzy when I'm sick. I get so angry at those germs!
Hubby is sick right now with a pretty bad cold and infection. He follows me everywhere, moaning and groaning. I finally had to tell him to go lie down if he's feeling that bad and that he needs to see the doctor. "But I don't feel like lying down. (sniff, sniff)" Aaaaargh!!! LOL
Men, huh?
Take care of yourself and get better, okay?

Aha! I just read some of your responses and I see that it IS conjunctivitis. Maybe I should be a doctor? LOL Heck, no! I just know a lot about health.
At least you got it early, since your eyes aren't really red yet. Get that Rx as soon as you can tomorrow, okay? In the meantime, wet a washcloth with cold water and wipe your eyes with it occasionally. It will help keep that film off your eye.
Just make sure that your hubby doesn't touch it or at least washes his hands after touching anything you've touched because conjunctivitis is EXTREMELY contagious!
Get better soon!
