Layaway and Walmart

I did not know Walmart did not have layaway. I could swear they have it my store.

That may be quite true. Hey wait a second... what happened to the good old option of saving up before purchasing? It is rather old fashioned, but it has worked for hundreds of years. But layaway (laybuy) and consumer credit are all inventions of the 20th century. Cheers.

Yes I do believe the no more layaway at Walmart has hurt their business. A lot of people use to put a lot of stuff on layaway for Christmas at Walmart before Walmart got stupid and canceled their layaway option. I use to love to be able to put things on layaway for my son for Christmas, it made things so much easier. We don't even have a Kmart here in my city anymore, they closed down all of the Kamrts here some years back, so now I can't even go to Kmart and use their layaway either.

I doubt that Walmart is suffering from not having layaway. It hasn't affected me because I do my own "layaway". I either buy things here and there and slowly get what I need for the holidays or I save up money each week so that I have enough to buy that one expensive thing. It's really not that bad and it's just like layaway becuase instead of making the payments to Walmart or Kmart, you're just leaving it in your bank account until you have enough to purchase the item/items.

Yeah it really sucks. I was going to put a toy that cost nearly 100 so I wouldn't spend that much all at once. Now I am trying to manage to get that toy for my son. There is no kmart around here either.
